When is Eid al-Fitr 2021 (1442)?
It gives us immense pleasure to announce that all the countries in the world except Eastern Russia And some countries of Oceana will be able to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 2021 on the same day, on Thursday, 13th May 2021, Insha Allah! This rare event is possible due to the visibility conditions of the crescent on 12th May 2021.
The Shawwal 1442 new moon will be born very late on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 18:59 UTC. Hence, there are no chances of crescent visibility on the evening of May 11, 2021 in any part of the world.
Next day, on the evening of 12th May 2021, there will be great chances of crescent visibility in the countries belonging to the western part of the world. As can be seen in the visibility curve, there are good chances of direct Shawwal Crescent Visibility in the Polynesian islands and in most countries of North, Central and South America, all these countries being either in the green or the blue visibility belt. In countries where Direct visibility is not possible, indirect visibility will still be possible. This will be the case in most of Africa, all of Europe, and in all parts of Asia, except eastern Russia. Thus, most parts of the world (except estern Russia and few countries of Oceania) will be able to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr 2021 on the next day, Thursday, 13th May 2021. The estern part of Russia and a few of the countries in Oceania will celebrate Eid-al-Fitr 2021 on Friday, 14th May.
We have published below an extensive list of countries arranged as per the Eid al-Fitr celebration date. Kindly review it.
We wish all our viewers Eid Mubarak in Advance!
